wickedfleaI keep noticing the work of two graffiti artists and/or groups around New Haven. Bhang! is one, and 203 Kids is the other. Bhang! has a lot of style. He (or they) festoons unexpected places with a distinctive flair, but 203 Kids just crudely scrawl their name with no evidence of any kind of artistic sensibility. What can you expect from a bunch of kids who take their gang's name from their fucking area code?
That reminds me of the graffiti spree that plagued my hometown of Starkzekistan back in the late '80s. Keesh and Crack-Master launched an assault on the dumpsters and sidewalks of the city, seizing the townspeople with fear. Just when everyone thought the worst was over, Dildo-head started his own reign of spray-paint terror.
