apropos of nothing

I just remembered something that happened while I was in New York last month. I was waiting for the subway at 72nd Street and saw Will Lee, the Late Night bass player. I recognized him right away; he had a bass strapped on his back, so he was kind of hard to miss. I told my mom, "Holy shit, dude, that's the guy who played bass on Ace Frehley's solo album!" This was lost on her, though -- all she could say was, "Don't call me 'dude.'" Can you imagine?

(By the way, don't believe the review All Music gives Ace's solo record. That album rocks.)

Ah. I thought maybe it was one of Ace's solo albums in the 80s.

the bass player from late night played on the purple solo rekkid? That is some serious random knowledge you got in your head yo.

Ok really I was trying to sound all "street" and realize how stupid that must sound coming out of the fingers of a near middle aged white girl in Denver...but nonetheless... that is some serious random knowledge you have there dude, seriously.
