I try to get out, but they keep pulling me back in! I spent most of the day in marketing training the replacement in my old job. I felt kind of like I'd entered a time warp. Also, I hate training people. The girl I was training is very nice, but I always feel stupid when I'm training someone -- like I'm always apologizing. "Well, this is the way you do it. I don't know why we do it that way, but it's the way I was shown, and -- well, that's just the way we do it." It could be worse, though -- I could be having to explain to someone exactly why we have to ask every customer who orders an Extra Value Meal if he or she would like to Super Size to get an extra additional added bonus for only 59 cents. "You'll hate doing it, but every once in a while the district manager comes through drive-through, and if you don't ask him if he wants to Super Size, he'll make you wash his dirty ass."

Or, you know -- whatever it is that they make you do. I've blocked out those memories, thank dog.

I actually somehow managed to miss that the first time I scanned the post; tells you something about my mind that the "ass" stood out the next time I skimmed the page :-P
