So whaddya think happened to my hard drive about forty-five minutes ago? Yep, you got it. Not two hours after "Oh no, you can't tell by the sound of it." Now the computer won't even boot--it tells me to run command.com and do a scanreg because of a registry/configuration error, but it never gives me a c:\ prompt. Thank dog I had the good sense to back up my shit. (Ugh, that sounds bad.) I'm hoping against hope that they'll give me a new machine, but I'm sure they'll just throw another ten-year-old hard drive in it. I knew I should have fried the BIOS.
