Oh yeah. I had the good sense (or lack of nuts) to get out of the downtown area before the fun started, but I did snap a few pictures of the hate-riot preparations and the homeless people's tents.

Yeah, the Home Depot owned the land and gave 'em all the boots yesterday. See here.

It's kind of weird. On one hand, they aren't really causing any trouble so why not just leave them alone? But on the other, you can't just pitch a tent and live wherever you please.

Back in the early spring, some lady actually gave birth to a kid there. That crazy dude in the pictures was the father. Go dad!

All the rich people in Toronto are just mad pissed because Tent City is Lakefront Property - where condos are mad expensive - why spend a million on a condo when you can have a 10 cent shanty house??

we have tent city in portland too.
i think it will survive, they are trying to buy property somewhere.
they do keep being moved around by the city though.
