relief and disappointment
Jan. 27th, 2001 07:26 pmWell, I decided to opt out of taking the MA exam today... I wasn't close to prepared, and I didn't especially feel like going in there and beating my head against a wall for three hours. So I have that to look forward to in August or September.
I need to start on a paper for my Form & Theory of Poetry class. I'm thinking of doing something on Miller Williams. I'm not much of a poetry reader; I can appreciate and enjoy it in a classroom setting, but I don't read much of it just for myself. I don't know why that is. Anyway, I'm sort of in the dark on this paper, because the professor hasn't given us any sort of direction for it. I guess that should be liberating and make it easy, but with poetry not being my forte, it's kind of ...um... not. Oh, well. I'm sure it'll be fine once I get into it.
I'm very poor (financially) for another week or so... I hate that. I filed my tax returns over the phone today, though, so I'll soon be getting a couple of nice little bonuses.
