May. 13th, 2003 05:15 pmI've always been prone to getting goofy words or phrases on the brain. For a long time one of them was "SILENCE!" I'd bust out with it at work, sometimes because someone was being loud, and sometimes just for the hell of it. It used to scare the bejeezus out of people. "Snakes all up in it" is, as I've mentioned before, another longtime favorite. Car not running smoothly? Snakes all up in it. Recurrent indigestion? Snakes all up in it. For a while I was heavily into "snarl" as an all-purpose expletive, like if I broke a shoelace or dropped a piece of ice on the kitchen floor. "SNARL!"
This week, it's obviously "sometime my brains be all jumble up." I'm so crazy in love with this phrase that I'm considering putting it on my resume.

May. 13th, 2003 07:06 pmRemember my post about Fool overdosing on helium? Wanna know what he looked like as he squeaked, "I'm shaking"? Download this clip. (Right click and hit "save as.") It's actually a clip of rock 'n' roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis, not Fool, but it's WELL worth the 3-meg download. It'll knock the socks right up your ass. You'll need the free Divx codec if you don't have it already. (I captured and converted this clip myself from my "White Trash Explosion" video; aren't you proud of me?)
