fucking SHIT someone just let a whole round of firecrackers go right outside my window. I guess that's what I get for being such a bottle-rocket nut when I was a kid. Wes and Fool and I used to LIVE for fireworks. We'd always stock up around the Fourth of July and New Year's. We were HUGE on bottle rockets and smoke bombs, bottle rockets especially. Wes and I used to go out in the woods behind my Dad's house and have so much fun with fireworks. There was a pond back there that we'd shoot bottle rockets into. They'd shoot into the water and then several seconds later you'd see these smoke bubbles come to the surface and pop. We'd drill into bottle rockets and add extra gunpowder or whatever that stuff is so they would fly further. And we'd light them, get a running start, and throw them like a javelin. Fun stuff. It's a wonder we never got hurt. I remember one time the three of us were shooting each other with them in Dad's front yard, and Fool hit Wes right in the dick with a bottle rocket. But it didn't explode, so it was cool. Now there's a freaking shopping center out in that field. Fargin icehole bastiges.

Is everyone out there running up-to-date virus software? I keep getting virus e-mails, and it almost seems like it's related to LiveJournal for some reason. I seem to notice it a lot right after I post, but they come so often that it might just be coincidence. There was that one "reply to your post" one that I got, though. Norton always catches them, so it's not a huge deal, but it bugs me.

Just deleted 232 quarantined viruses from my computer. (None ever executed; I'm cleaner than Skeeter's peter, don't worry.)

"You'd dig it the most."

Name it. I think I discussed this with someone already, so you can't play.

Y'all ever hear the Gourds cover of "Gin and Juice"? It was huge on Napster in 1999-2000. I used to blast this on my Mac at The Reflector all the time, and Will, Keith, Brian, and I would sing along like freaks. Fun times. Here's a great picture of the editorial board from the first semester. It was so funny how it happened--we were trying to find a place to take our picture for the yearbook, and we couldn't agree on anything! But Will was snapping pictures as we'd go from one place to the next. So we never did decide on anything, and we ended up being kind of pissed off about the whole thing. But when Will developed the roll, he had this great shot. We ended up submitting it just like this to the yearbook--with Stan's captions and everything. Actually he changed it to "R. Crew." It was so funny--we got along so well, but sometimes we couldn't agree on shit. Like we'd decide to order a bunch of pizza and could never figure out what pizza place or what kind of crust or toppings or anything. Heh. Good times.

This Zeppelin DVD set might be the best thing I've ever bought. And I snagged it for 20 bucks! I know I babbled about it when I got it a couple of weeks ago or whatever, but here I am babbling again. It's just so good. Perfect quality, all four guys ON, the whole shebang. So I'm dazed and confused, what can I say?

I'm feeling so comfortable with who I am these days. I hate to sound like a greeting card, but I'm pretty happy right now. I can even hit the Robert Plant notes when I'm singing in the car.

But people should still send me money.

There needs to be a LiveJournal artists retreat. We could just get us up a crazy old commune. We got people who can cook and write and paint and make clothes and play music. And we can just jump all in amongst one another. Leave your baggage at the door, because we are shiny happy people here at the LJ farm.
