Egad. Earlier in the week my boss's husband's 94-year-old grandfather felt like he had something in his throat and was choking, so they took him to the hospital, where they gave him a cursory look and told him it was nothing. He was unhappy with the lack of concern they showed, but he went on home anyway. And sure enough, he went to sleep and asphyxiated because of the thing stuck in his throat.
