Feb. 16th, 2005 04:51 pmWTF is it with me and alarms lately? The fire alarm in my building has gone off at least four times in the past few weeks; during the blizzard, the burglar alarm at the doctor's office next door kept going off and keeping me from getting my sleep on; and today I got out of jury duty early because of a testy fire alarm. Which would have been all right, but for some reason I decided to come to work. Oh well.
Oh, and how exactly am I supposed to decide the facts of a case when I have freaking "Motorbreath" playing non-stop in my head? That's what it was today. Earlier in the week it was "Mr. Roboto," part of Peter and the Wolf, and "I'm So Excited."
It's quite difficult to nonchalantly scratch your scrotum in court. You can try to sort of scoot back and forth on your seat, but it doesn't really work. Just in case you were wondering.
