Oh yeah, I forgot two things about the Chinatown excursion. When the obnoxious Indiana couple came down the stairs to check out the fake handbags, the wife looked me right in the eye and said, "Do you work here?" Um, yeah. These places in Chinatown selling cheap watches and purses are ALL staffed by white dudes in Mississippi State baseball caps. Common mistake, really.

But when we were leaving the store, I was inordinately happy to see an old Chinese guy out front eating boiled peanuts! "Right on, brother," I told him.

Yikes, the New Yorker did a story on Neck Face over a year ago. I'm so behind the times.

Lunch today confirmed that I do not enjoy Japanese food. No sir, I don't like it. I'm gonna be tasting salmon teriyaki all afternoon. GRACK. I do like wasabi, though--maybe I shoulda just asked for a big bowl of that.

Recently I've found not one but two multi-colored condoms (different brands, both still in the wrappers) right outside the back door of the press. I kinda wonder whose they are--but then again, I don't think I really want to know. I wonder if someone is planting them there or if there's some sexy cat who works here whose pockets are so full of rainbow-colored jimmy hats that they come flying out of his pockets. Or her purse.
