I haven't had any of these in years. I like the root beer ones. Somebody buy me some, damn you.

Hey, does anyone remember Marathon bars? I haven't seen those in a long time either. And I want me some Sugar Daddies (shaddup) and 7-Up gum and Now-and-Laters. You can keep your goddamn Zagnuts, though.

Golly I remember those!!! The cola ones were my favorite. I totally remember Marathon bars, plus bit-o-honey, chick-a-stix, abbazabba's and necco wafers. When did we grow up so much that candy wasn't cool anymore?? Pop-rocks, zots... all of it. FUN DIP!!!! Why don't we eat Fun Dip anymore? We eat weird things now... sushi for instance... what's up with that?

Candy will always be cool!!

I'm pushing 30 (ack!) and I eat Fun Dips all the time.

Sushi should only be eaten if you're listening to Mr. Roboto.

Yeah, and oysters! Why did we ever decide to eat them!

*shakes head*

Oldsters are weird.

I never was a big fan of Sugar Daddies. I think they were made by the Milk Duds folks. Zagnut always seemed like a dumb name for a candy bar. If you're looking for obscure candy, you might want to try the 99 cent store. They still have Clark bars, of all things. A lot of the candy is well known, too (e.g. Junior Mints, Butterfingers, 3 Musketeers, etc.)

Do you remember Bonkers? They were a chewy fruit candy, shaped in squares, with a darker center? There wer those commercials that went, "Bonkers BONKS you out!" and they featured a woman with short curly brown hair and glasses, and a huge piece of the candy would drop out of the sky out of nowhere and hit someone on the head?

Loved those!

That place has every candy you'd ever imagine. It's amazing. They have hundreds of m&m colors and skittles flavors you'd never hear of, and many old school candy and specialty items. I highly recommend going there...it's great.

Bonkers, Bonkers, Bonkers . . . the name seems so familiar, but I can't picture them or the commercial!

Yeah, I think they stopped making it several years ago. They had Gatorade gum too! I don't think either of them tasted too much like the drinks (though they were supposed to), but I dug 'em both!

Yeah... I still haven't had the courage to try them. I am, however, eating barbeque pototo chips and twinkies for dinner. With beer of course.

There's a dollar store that sells them here.

I like to think of myself as somewhat of a candy connoisseur.

Remember those wax sticks or soda bottles with the juice in them?

I dig 'em too--smoked, scalloped, fried, raw, etc.--but they're weird as hell, and so are we for eating them!

They did...and they never had enough of that sugary-liquid goodness.
