It's cold as feet up in here. At about 4:00 yesterday, the power surged and cut off and then came back on--sort of. About half the lights in the building wouldn't come on at all, and here in the library the ones that did come on were flickering and dimming and brightening and generally freaking out. (If this room didn't look like something out of a Vincent Price movie before, it definitely did yesterday.) So of course I got here today and the whole place was dark. The power did come on about 20 minutes ago, and everything does seem to be working, but it's still cold as feet. And I was really hoping that the surge would have fried this POS computer, but no such luck. Stupid technology.
