Nice weekend. Weather's been beautiful, I got some freelance work done, and yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the day with [livejournal.com profile] saintclaire at the Westport Fine Art Festival! I wouldn't say that all of it was fine, but there was some really cool stuff. And it's always nice to have tutu boys walking around. :) Seriously, we had a really fun time--had pizza (and later coffee), saw some cool stuff, heard a little music, and talked a lot. Quite nice. Oh yeah, and we went to a book sale at the library where I picked up a few good things. I can never resist $1 and $2 books! I even got a book on how to write romance novels! I'm going to take it to work and either display it on my desk or slip it on our bookcase of reference books alongside the OED and many style manuals--just to see what people say. Oh, that reminds me--I still want to take my old paperback copy of Shaft up there too. Just to keep folks wonderin, ya know.

Oh yeah, and I think the reappearance of my habit of throwing tennis balls, dogballs, and fig newtons at complete strangers has caught up with me. While we were sitting in Starbucks yesterday I heard a LOUD shot ring out and was CONVINCED that someone was trying to take me out. It turned out that a light bulb had exploded right near me, though we could never figure out where it came from! I looked at all the fixtures around me, and no bulbs were missing, but there was sure as hell broken glass all over the ledge/windowsill right next to me. I sorta think someone hurled it at me from across the room, just missed my head, and hit the window next to me. There are some serious gangsters there in Paul Newman country.

Hey [livejournal.com profile] goatsupreme, check out this goat I saw yesterday. It was made of scrap metal or something. Didn't get the best angle on it, so it's a little hard to make out. Come to think of it, it was a little hard to make out in person.

Metal Goat. Would that be a good name for a band? Probably not as good as the one I came up with last night: Dorkflower.

heh! I never thought of "the shot" at Starbucks being related to the fig newton thing! LOL

I am still wondering where it came from.

I am too! It might have been that little girl who came over to look at the glass. I could see her giving me the evil eye.

LOL Yea, I think she was checking her shot.
She was fearless too. Poking around in the broken glass.
I think I caught a little of the evil eye she was giving you.
Have you been hurling objects at little kids now? LOL

HECK yeah! You play anything? We should do this thing. I can put a cucumber down my pants a la Spinal Tap.

Wait, I don't need no stinkin' cucumber! ;)

That goat is cool as hell. It looks like it's wearing a suit made of maple leaves.

I want a big iron goat head for my house.

Dorkflower? Sounds like a band that would do Blind Melon covers...haha

When I was getting shoes today, I saw a giant tennis ball for sale. It was even made of the same material. Hee.
