Whoo hoo! Jeff, his son, and I are going to see Jim Bouton give a talk and sign books in a couple of weeks. This guy wrote Ball Four, one of my favorite books ever. I always say that it's a non-fiction Catch-22. A lot of you might look at it and think, eh, it's a baseball book. And I was a sucker for baseball books growing up, but this is on a whole nother level. (That one's for you,

saintclaire.) This book even added indispensable words to my vocabulary: "shitfuck," "sidle," and "fuckshit." Good stuff. I'm going to have to read it again before I go. I've read it probably 6-8 times at least, but it's been a while. Ack, I don't know if I have a copy. My books are still spread across three states. Damn that.
