Over a year later, I'm still kind of freaked out by the whole Jammie the Gentle Clown debacle. You see, I ran across an ad for the gentle clown, and I posted about it. I kept thinking about Jammie and ended up looking her up on the web, and then all hell broke loose.

how do you ad a link into other things when you post ? but have it not say http// and so on?

You using a client, or do you post from a web page in your browser?

If you're using the LJ client program, you just go to edit>make link/image and put the web address (complete w/ http://, it's important) in the address box and the text you want to show up in the "link text" box.

If you're posting through the website, it's like this:

‹a href="http://site_ya_wanna_link_to.com"›text you want to show up here‹/a›

Like if you wanted to make a link to livejournal.com and have your post read, "Here's where I spend too much time," you'd put this right in your post:

‹a href="http://livejournal.com"›Here‹/a›'s where I spend too much time.
