Feb. 6th, 2004 01:03 pmI'm sleepy as 'em old folk. A couple of times this week I've thought about ducking into Sterling Library at lunch and taking a nap in the stack tiers, but I'd probably feel worse when I woke up--or else wake up feeling bright-eyed and bushytailed at about 8 p.m, which probably wouldn't be the best thing for my job security.
I want a Greek salad, but I don't want to walk next door to Naples in the rain to get it. It's seriously nasty outside today. Oh wait, it's always nasty outside these days.
Greek salad. That's not a euphemism for anything sexual, is it? I hope not.
Did they ever find anything out about Spalding Gray? That whole thing's sad. (Gee, there's a bold statement.)
-----------------------
Tim and I were sitting on break and reading the paper. Kizmet was sitting next to us and eating a Whopper. Kizmet said, "Starkville High don't have fish for lunch on Fridays no more. They got tacos."
Confused, I glanced at Tim. He was obviously just as confused. "Errrmmmm . . . what?"
"TACOS! They got tacos now," she said with a look of disbelief and disgust.
"Wow. Oooooookay . . ."
-----------------------
I need something to do. Actually I have plenty that I should do, but nothing that I want to do.
