It's 30 degrees and somehow I'm fooling myself into thinking I detect a hint of spring in the air--when I know good and well it's gonna be miserable well into May. I think there's something wrong with me.

A question I started last night but forgot to post:

When I take a shower in the morning, I always have plenty of hot water. But when I take one in the evening, I never do. (Yes, I often take two showers a day. Sue me.) I live alone and my apartment has its own water heater, so it's not like someone's using it all before I get home. So what's the deal?

how often does your water heater cycle? is it continuously heating or does it just turn on now and then?

Hmmmmmm, I dunno. It's in its own little closet, so I never hear it come on. Wait, it's electric, so I wouldn't hear it anyway. :\

Dude! That happened to me at my first apartment in Connecticut, weirdest damn thing. Turns out it was on a timer too, to make more hot water in the morning. Feh.
