I thought some o' y'all might get a kick of of hearing Billy Bob Thornton collaborating w/ Earl Scruggs on a bluegrass/hip-hop version of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire," so I ripped it from the Oxford American's Southern Music Sampler #5. I actually quite dig it, even if the concept sounds a little weird.

I used to subscribe to that and I have the CD from that year. I love it! Do you read it?

Yep, it's great! I have five of those discs--I think that's all they've done. They've had a rought time of it over the last couple of years--have moved at least twice and gone under at least twice. But they've just gotten funding from the University of Central Arkansas to become a non-profit, so I hope they'll stick around this time.
