Gah. I haven't lived on Central Avenue in Starkville for ten years now. You'd think I could stop dreaming about moving out of that house by now. But no, it's still the most recurrent dream I have. WTF?

Look at this. Just look. I've been marveling at it ever since one of my homies linked to it several days ago. (It was a protected post, so I won't out her.) bellastrega and I have concluded that the person in the picture second from the bottom is indeed a man wearing a jheri-curl weave.

Good gods. Been there, dressed similar to that....like 14 years ago! Oh, but it wasn't cool back then, my bad. Get over yourself already. And is there a rule in the Goth handbook that says you have to make yourself as unattractive as possible? I always tried to maintain a modicum of feminine cuteness!

I know, it's terrible! I know some cute gothy girls, but egad, these folks are skeery. And it's so funny that you mention dressing like that fourteen years ago. I can remember goths at my high school in the late '80s. And that was in Starkville, Mississippi! So how cool can it be? :)

Fo' real! I'm in Alabama and graduated in 1989. If I was a 'goth' back then you know that shit is seriously played! ;-)
