Blech. I got to sleep at 5:15 and my alarm goes off at 8:15--WHEN I REMEMBER TO TURN IT BACK ON. I was switching between the couch and the bed and turning each alarm clock on and off as I switched, and somehow I ended up with both of them off. So yeah, I woke up at 10:45.
I am sorry. Insomnia really really sucks ass. I have it very bad. I average 3.5 hours of sleep a night. I love that scene in Fight Club where he talks about insomnia. "With insomnia, you are never really asleep and you are never really awake." Tyler Durden flashes briefly across the screen... We should know that nothing is real, but we are just trying to function for another day.
Thanks. With enough valerian root and melatonin, I'm usually able to manage six hours or so, though sometimes I wake up a lot. But then there are those nights where it is just NOT HAPPENING. Last night I didn't get to sleep until after 5 a.m.
And yeah, I dig that part of Fight Club--I certainly keyed in on it too.
