Do you ever do anything that just makes you wonder where your mind is going? I do. I called customer service for a company today to request replacement parts for a bookcase I bought a couple of weeks ago. I told the lady the model number, and she asked, "Is that American Oak, Cherry, or Black finish?"

"Right, yes." I replied.

She was very nice about it, politely asking, "OK, which one?" I probably wouldn't have been able to restrain myself if I'd been in her position. That's the kind of thing that used to kill me when I had jobs that involved working with the public.

Then there was the time that I returned video tapes to the wrong store. I walked right into Blockbuster, threw those mugs on the counter, and said, "Here ya go!" The clerk looked at me blankly and stated, "These are from Movie Gallery." I never thought I'd do something like that. Again, if I'd been in her place, I would have been thinking, "What an IDIOT!"

Ach. I need to go shopping. I hope I can manage by myself...

I hope shopping went okay :)

Don't worry, I do stupid shit like saying "Yes" to a question like that :)

But I'm blonde.

What's your excuse??

Hmmm -- I had blonde hair when I was a youngster, so maybe it's just the residual effects of that. And being from Mississippi probably doesn't help. :) Thanks, though -- at least I know it ain't just me.

Oh, and shopping went OK -- I only forgot where I parked three times! :P
