Check out this dope Peanuts schwag [livejournal.com profile] dorkontheloose gave me tonight! Word up for late Christmas loot.

She also, I'm afraid, saddled me with a new addiction. We watched three episodes of Family Guy, and I'm afraid I'm hooked. (No, I'd never seen it. The only TV I usually watch features pissing midgets.)

edit: Heh, look at the title bar for this post in my browser:

Nope. I can hardly even get it together to watch The Simpsons most of the time. :\

OMG I love Peanuts. You're such a nerd.

Also, we're getting addicted to the Family Guy at the same time. Does that mean we're blood sisters?

Bitchin' lunchbox yo.

That would be the best name for a band: Bitchin Lunchbox Yo.

"Family Guy" is my obsession. I have both seasons on DVD and watch them repeatedly. I strongly suggest you go rent them. You won't be sorry. Well, unless you pee yourself, which I nearly did during the episode when Peter remakes "The King and I". It's such a great show but so much of it is lost on people who don't have an intense knowledge of pop culture, which I thankfully do. Blah blah blah.

I was just downloading some .wav files from Family Guy last night. I think I still have the URL in my address bar....

Yep, I do:

You and I are using the same Mozilla. Rock the wood. Are you going to bring your lunch to work in your new lunchbox?

Sweet! I had a Snoopy lunchbox and a Charlie Brown thermos in grade school, if I remember correctly.

Family Guy is hilarious, especially Stewie. I think it's the British accent that does it. Have you seen the one where they look for the Twinkie factory? That's probably one of their strangest episodes ever.

Well, I hate you now. That schwag shoulda been MINE. MINE, I tell you! WHO ELSE spent a misspent late childhood in sad suburbia reading PEANUTS books under the desk during science class? ME, that's who. Eleven years old and I already knew who had the real thing. Ah, Sparky, you cranky old geezer, we hardly knew ye.

I used to be in a band named Crackerbox Death Sandwich. But I dunno what that has to do with anything. ;)

Yep yep, I'll be going to the video store soon!

Huh huh huh, you said "wood."

I should totally start bringing the lunchbox to work. I'd probably pick up women like mad, no?

Yeah, Stewie kills me--which is kinda funny because when I used to see commercials for the show, I think Stewie was what put me off from watching it. I thought, yeah, ok, rude talking baby, whatever. Obviously I was wrong. :)

Well, hell, that was me too! Just the other day at a party at work, some people were talking about Tolstoy. I said my only knowledge of Tolstoy came from the time Snoopy was going to read War and Peace one word per day. And it's true! I'm more conversant with Peanuts than just about any other work of literature.

That's a great name too. I'm way more apt to go see a random band if they have a weird name. My dad's best friend was in a band called Medical Blunder Revisited. They had a song called "Someone Else's Shoes". It was about a man who lost his shoes (how? who knows) and goes to the thrift store and finds some used ones.

Just two so far. They come out every six months, I think. You can by them individually or in boxed sets of two!
