Now that's a jury worth serving on. I made a friend fall off a couch laughing even though he'd already broken a rib, but we weren't in court, so it's not as funny.
No, this is a first. My ex-wife got a summons in 1999, two years after she moved to Nebraska... I called and told them she no longer lived here, they wanted me to mail them, at my expense, a written statement to that effect, which I never did. I figured, since we'd been divorced two years earlier, if they knocked on my door, after I called them, what could they do if she isn't here? Never heard anything else on that. Strangely enough though, my mom has been on the voter roles in this parish since 1962, and she said she has NEVER once been called for jury duty!
