Does this NYC subway alert seem the slightest bit fishy to anyone else? They've supposedly linked the threat to al Qaeda operatives in Iraq. This after Bush going on this morning about how vital Iraq is in the war on terror . . . Call me crazy, but it just kinda seems like it might be an approval-ratings grab. And hey, I'll be the first to admit that I'm talking out of my ass, but it's just the first thing I thought of.

Ya, I noticed the same "link". Funny thing is Shrub says we need to be in Iraq to fight the terrorists there, instead of here. Then he goes on to say that they've stopped two or three attempts in the U.S.A. and 10 world-wide. Excuse me? Is there a disconnect there? Ahhh, maybe he was referring to not having to fight them in Washington, DC....

no, i think you're right on the money with this one. there was a cop car in front of every subway entrance on my way to work-lights flashing and everything. they're making a good show of it, really.
