WTF? An ambulance, two police cars, and a fire truck are parked outside attending to something going on at the apartment next door. I wouldn't have had any idea if I hadn't been outside grilling, so it's not really a bother, but still--do I attract this shit or what?

Man, I could tell you some stories about some of the places I've lived... The one that stands out the most was this psycho upstairs neighbor who tried to break in on my birthday. I'd been living out here for maybe 7 months.

Yeah, but I haven't heard any fireworks, and it seemed like a hell of a long response for a fireworks complaint--they were there for about an hour, and it looked like they were going to two different apartments. I'll bet someone got sliced.

Well, that happened to me about 13 years ago. Heh. I wasn't trying to give you a hard time or anything. It was just a bizarre (and somewhat entertaining in retrospect) story.

hmmmm with us, fire truck and ambo go out on all calls of a serious nature. i.e. chest pains, person unconscious, suicide, dead body. PD would only go out on the latter 3. Wow I'm over analyzing this eh?

Not at all! =) Yeah, I dunno--I know there's a guy next door who's in very bad health, so I figured it was something with that, but I couldn't figure out why the cops would be there, either. And it was weird that nobody seemed to be doing anything but talking. I never did see if they took anyone away or anything.

PD would have been dispatched if he was a) dead b) unconscious and not breathing because they too are first responders, should be AED equipped and are often closer than Fire/Rescue c) tried to kill himself d) possible foul play. e) curiousity

I've had officers ask "Radio, where is that ambulance going?" and then chase after it for what reason? None.
