Lonzie is the mellowest cat who ever lived. He's the only cat I've ever known who likes to be brushed. I thought my boy was going to frick the fuck out when I groomed his black ass a little while ago.

And I think he's going to come off the anorexic schtick. He's drinking a lot of water and using the litter box, and he's started to eat a little bit. I think so far he's been just reveling in the privacy and quiet my place affords him. Until he moved in with me, he'd lived almost his whole life (14 months) in a shelter, so I don't imagine he'd gotten much of a chance to chill. And he is DIGGING it here and sleeping like a mofo.

No, I'm not going to become one of those people. I'll post about something other than my cat sometime soon. SO DON'T TEASE ME ABOUT MY PUSSY.

ahh, that's good news. :)

it's all right, Mr. Flea, you have just stumbled upon the True Purpose of the Internet, which is that it enables our furry masters and mistresses to communicate with each other without having to put a claw out of place.

Harley is all about the cat brush, bebbee. He just has to see it, and he will demand grooming. He has no shame.

It's lovely of you to bring a shelter cat home and give him the kind of life they all deserve. It's okay if you turn into one of "those" people, sometimes. Your fans will always be glad for the occasional graphic shot of your black pussy. (Did you ever expect to hear me say that? I think you got a black cat just so you could say you've got black pussy in the hizzy).

I want to encourage you to become one of those cat people (it would be so entertaining and endearing) by requesting more cat pictures.

So.

More pics of your pussy, please!

AWWWWWWW
Kitty is SO cute! I'm sure once kitty adjusts to the new environment, he'll start eating and stuff. I bet he'll attach himself to you and never leave your side either. Cute. CUUUUTE!

Oh yeah, he's already warmed up to me, just not to his food! This morning, though, he seemed to be hiding from me--but I think it was just because he had ditched his collar and didn't want me to see. =)

Kitties are so bad about ditching their collars. So bad! Bogie buried his in his litter box. I certainly did not retrieve it!

Is your kitty sleeping on the bed with you yet, hogging up the covers and stuff?

oh one more thing..

invest in some pet grass. cats LOVE it, and it keeps them away from your house plants (if you have any) you can buy one thats already grown, or you can grow your own from seeds. I've had more luck growing my own just because the little container the pre-made ones come in are too light and when the cats try to eat the plant it tips over or moves all around and they can't get a good mouthful.

and if you're thinking about getting a scratching post, get this one..
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3635442

its got catnip all cooked into the cardboard so if lonzie is anything like my two stoners he'll spend the majority of his day scratching and rubbing himself on the thing. and theres a little cutout on the bottom left that has a catnip filled mouse dangling so they can stick their little paw in and attack it. best investment EVER.

Haha! I didn't know what he'd done with that collar--but when I was home at lunch, I saw that he had stuffed it just outside the litter box. He'll probably bury it next time.

Yep, he's been sleeping with me! Right now he's sort of content to make his place on the bed wherever I'm not, but I'm sure he'll be elbowing me out of the way and stealing the quilt before long.

Wow, thanks for the ideas! I'll look into that this weekend. Did your Wal-Mart have that in the store, or did you get it online?

I actually didn't get it at walmart at all. I got mine at petco but when I looked on their website for it I could only find the replacement cardboards. so I checked walmart.com and it came up..and for a little cheaper than I paid at petco. I'm telling you - we have leather couches and they've never ONCE dragged a claw across them. my cats love the scratcher so much that we have the main one (with the incline and toy) downstairs, and upstairs I just put the cardboard replacements down and they go wild on them too.

hows the big man doin?
