Are you required to file a tax return if you're going to be owed money? I've been putting off doing my Mississippi taxes because of all the part-year-resident crap, and it's probably not worth it for the measly six bucks I would get back . . .

No, you're not. I didn't file one year when I was owed money, and nothing was ever said. :)

I always have. Then again, when I did get refunds years ago, it was like $300. I doubt if I'll ever money back now...

Yeah, I always have too, but I was always able to use the EZ forms. The split-residency thing was no fun for Connecticut, but it was worth it for the $150 I got back. Mississippi can keep their $6 unless I absolutely have to fill out the forms, though. They can use it, you know. :)
