Does anyone remember the '80s TV movie called "White Mama," which starred Bette Davis as a foster mother to a black teen who got shanked by Anne Ramsey in the grocery store because he owed her money? It scared the fuck out of me.

Holy crap, Mr. Vargas and the black Ghostbuster were in it, too. I gotta see this movie again.

Sounds vaguely familiar. Did you ever see that Mad TV sketch called That's My White Mama? Artie Lange played a black woman trapped in a white guy's body. His (her) catch phrase was, "Don't make me break my foot off in your ass!" (It was a parody of That's My Black Mama from the '70s, I believe.)

I never saw that. But I remember seeing "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte" as a child and having nightmares about it.

Heh, I just saw that in search results on YouTube. I can't abide Mad TV, though!

It was actually a funny show when it started. Now I think Dr. Kevorkian needs to pay them a visit. ;)

I saw "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte" on T.V. when my mother was out for the afternoon. My teeth were chattering, afterward.

I didn't see "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" until I was an adult. It WAS creepy. But I love the scene in which Joan Crawford whines about how she wishes she weren't in the wheelchair. Bette Davis whips around and says, "But'cha are, Blanche, ya are." I nearly fell out of my chair from laughing so hard.

HAHAHA, just READING that made me laugh out loud! I'd forgotten that part. I'll have to watch that again sometime. Thank dog for Netflix, so I don't have to be seen renting it at the store! ;)
