Doggammit. On top of everything else, I somehow got hooked on CANDY COFFEE (milk and sugar) from the corner diner in Brooklyn, so now I'm having to excise those adulterants and pray for my coffee to be returned to sanity.

Damn Yankees.

You right. I blame the whole Northeastern peculiarity of "regular coffee" meaning "a whole bunch of shit with a little bit of coffee in it" for my lapse.

Hey, it's not just a northeastern thing. I've had the sweetest and yuckiest coffee ever in Virginia.

I like coffee either way, really. Kona coffee is perfect with nothing in it!

Oh, I know--I just meant the term "regular." Down here, all it means is everyday coffee (not decaf, not flavored, etc.), black. Not so up there, as you know. :D

'regular' means different things in different parts of nyc, though. Regular tends to be milk and sugar, but I've had it black before. It's confusing, really.

Next you know, you'll have a craving for pre-sweetened corn bread. ;)
