wickedfleaIt feels like I haven't been at work for several years. I took Friday off, and I was working in Peter's office Thursday because my old desk had been moved out. Anyway, my new furniture is here, and it's so nice to have. A nice desk with two file drawers, another two-drawer file cabinet, and a bookcase -- I don't even know what it's like to have shelf space at work! I should finally be able to keep some of this shit off my desk now.
Yes, I know that it's depressing and sad to get excited about file cabinets and bookshelves, but I feel like I finally have my own stuff after being in someone else's space for seven months.
This desk has one of those pull-out keyboard trays. I can't decide if I want to use it or not. I wonder if using it might help the tendonitis (guess that's what it is) in my left elbow.
Took Mom to the airport yesterday. The weather was awful; the fog hanging over the city made it look like the end of the world. I had thought about hanging around after I dropped her off and maybe checking out the Dali exhibit that's in town, but the weather was so ugly that I just got the hell out.
Had a good week with Mom. It doesn't seem like we did a whole lot after getting back from New York, but we did get out Friday and explore the coastline some. There are some nice towns up there -- Madison, Clinton, and all that. I'd probably go nuts living in one of those towns (though, considering real-estate prices, I'll probably never have to worry about it). Too white-bread for me, almost like Disney's Main Street USA or something. Also shopped for a comforter and bedsheets, something I probably never would have done on my own. And we ate a lot of good food, something I can never afford to do on my own.
Homie just skulked through the office. These people gotta stop skulking, by god.
