Just got out of my interview a little while ago. Talked with two people for over an hour. It was a bit exhausting, as interviews always are, but I feel pretty confident that I rocked the party that rocks the body. Both of the people who interviewed me said that they weigh the proofreading/editing test very heavily, and that makes me feel good, because, like I said earlier, I think I gave it the beat-down. And they plan to make a decision the middle of next week, so I'll know something soon.

Now I'll go score a big ol' crack rock, and my day will be complete. Oh, that reminds me -- at the Mets game, someone in our section was firing up some weed. I didn't see it, but I damn sure smelled it. I'm always the first person to notice that smell. My Mom and I were walking though Manhattan a couple of weeks ago, and all of a sudden I got a strong whiff and said, "GodDAMN! Huh? Oh, nothing, Mom, never mind . . ."

I'm covering the front desk right now, and I'm looking at the video screen that monitors the front and back doors to the building. I've been here for ten minutes, and I've seen probably ten people leaving early. I should forge an email from the press director to them -- "You were seen leaving twenty minutes early on Friday, and don't think for a minute that you're getting away with it, because I'm on to you, slacker."

What is up with people blowing weed at sporting events, anyway? I was at a Pistons game a few weeks ago and they were puffing tough outside during halftime where everyone smokes.

Yeah... and there was a kid close by. That made me happy -- not. Stupid stoners.

Yeah, it's weird to me, too. I mean, I don't even see how it would enrich the experience. A Pink Floyd show, OK -- but a game?
