My monitor's been making this fucked-up squeaking noise off and on. If I jostle it around a little, it stops. This actually started happening a few months ago, then pretty much stopped until recently. Is it going to die?

mine did that for a while... is your place really dusty? i figured out it was the dust burning off the tube...

Whoa, yeah -- place is pretty dusty, all right. Did you open it up and blow the dust and stuff out, or just let it burn off and then try to keep it clean, or what?

i just let it burn off... interestingly enough... out here on the west coast there's not as much dust in my room... so i've not had that problem

That's weird how some places are dusty and some aren't... some places I've lived, it hasn't been bad, this place is a freaking dust bowl. Thanks for the tip!

my last place was right across from an incinerator... so i got lots of dust... i had to clean the filters on my hvac unit at least 2 times a month so i wasn't just recirculating shit...
