Because I'm insane and was thinking about a phrase I used in my poll, I did a Yahoo! search for "soup to nuts" and found the following entry:

Datamax Corporation -- consultants providing soup to nuts integration.

I'm curious. What is "nuts integration" -- and why would you need soup for it?!?

I know you'll be dying to know this, but the expression is medieval: feasts started with soup, ended with nuts. The Romans had a similar expression: from eggs to apples.

See? All that money I spent on a degree and a half in medieval history wasn't wasted!

Regarding the Datamax thingy, I think it's pretty obvious that for any nut integration, a warm liquid would be very handy.

Oh, cool! I didn't know the origin of the phrase. Basically what I meant about the Datamax thing was that I woulda used hyphens, as in "soup-to-nuts integration." That's the kind of crap that a degree and a half in English will have you noticing. :)
