What is WRONG with people who won't return telephone calls? I mean, shit, I'm kind of bad about that at home, but I call people back at work, by dog--if only because I don't want people calling me back later when they're pissed off. Get the bastards out of your hair and be done with it, I always say. It figures that I'm out of step, though.

I should always remember Heller's First Rule: People are fucked.

Sounds like my dealings with Cisco last month. Their fax machines were all messed up, and the guy wouldn't even return my phone calls. Of course, I couldn't get his direct number because tech support wasn't "allowed" to give that out. ?!

It blows my mind how people outside the South do business. I always thought that "southern hospitality" stuff was b.s., but several incidents like this lately have made me rethink.

I generally have pretty good results with getting calls returned. Those Cisco folks are a bunch of weirdos.

Okay, you have just touched upon one of my largest pet peeves: people who say, "I'm sorry I haven't called you, but I've been so busy lately!" We are ALL busy. But it takes three seconds to dial a phone. I have always had time to return my calls, no matter how busy I am. What the hell is WRONG with people? Do they realize how fucking RUDE that is?!? Christ!!!
