I think northerners making fun of southerners for being pussies when it comes to the cold is bunk. I mean, it is true that I'm not very good at handling the cold. Well, I manage it OK, but I do complain about it a lot because I just flat-out don't like it. But dammit, you're not going to see me wearing a coat until it gets down to the low 40s. It was about 55 last night and I was at the store in shorts and a T-shirt, but I saw people wearing heavy coats, and I notice the same thing on the bus all the time. It's 65 today and I just saw someone leaving here in a scarf. Is that what it's called? You know, those knit things you wear around your neck. SEE? I don't even know the lingo! And I'm sure as hell not some kind of Coat Boy.

Hey, that reminds me -- there was this little short kid who used to go to my school in the ninth grade or so. He always wore a coat with a hood on it, but he didn't really wear it -- he would just hang it from his head by the hood, almost like some kind of weird cape. So naturally my friends and I all called him Coathead.

"Hey Coathead, what up daddy?"

"You got it, fellas."

That was the extent of our conversations with Coathead. Not very deep, but always satisfying. (Man, there's an innuendo waiting to happen.)

Yeah, I'm the same way. I think it's kind of like I'm saying that if I'm not wearing a coat, it must not be cold. It doesn't work very well, but then I'm not very smart. :)

Coathead sounds like a Fat Albert charactaer. Would you believe Time Life has re-released a bunch of the old shows on video?

I lived in Chicago for 13 years, and I don't think I ever wore a scarf. It always seemed like a useless article of clothing.

Really?! Man, I gotta get those. I've been wanting to see those old episodes again since I was a junior in high school, and I can never find them on television. That show was totally badass.

Come to think of it, Coathead LOOKED like he was one of the gang too! I think he was Dumb Donald's long-lost brother.

>>Yeah, I don't know why they're no longer on tv. I've had a horrible time trying to find them without paying some insane amount of money. I think Time Life has some Fat Albert video of the month program.

>>Ha. Was that a hat Dumb Donald wore? I never was sure.
