Aug. 23rd, 2002 10:47 amI checked my balance this morning, saw a lot more money than I expected, and thought that two paychecks must have been direct-deposited for some reason. I was really happy for a few minutes -- until I discovered that it was just because my rent check hasn't been cashed yet. Damn.
I often have dreams about having a lot of cash but then discovering that it's all counterfeit. Or sometimes maybe even Confederate. Anyway, worthless for some reason. And when it's counterfeit, it's really bad counterfeit, like the size is way off, or it's in weird denominations like $15, or the picture on the front is of Gerald Ford. In the dreams, I always make big plans for the money before I discover that it's bogus. "I wanna get a guitar. I always said, if I make it rich, I'm gonna get me a guitar. I wanna get a Fender. Nah, I don't like Fenders. Ah, I'll get one anyway. Hey, wait -- this money is BLUE, man!"
