Whoo hoo! A book I worked on the paperback edition of just debuted at #14 on the NYT pbk. nonfiction bestseller list. The editorial end of that was minimal, as there isn't any new material, so most of what I had to do was just incorporate corrections and proofread cover and inside ad-page copy, so it's not like I had much at all to do with it--but still, pretty cool to be involved with. =)

WTF am I doing at the office on a beautiful Sunday afternoon?!? Fuck this, I'm going home. More later!

WTF was I doing running around w/ no shirt on last night? Oh yeah, I was drinking coffee and buzzing around cleaning the apt. Why I sat down and took a picture I have no idea. Sorry if this frightens your loved ones and housemates. ;) (Don't worry, it's nothing Albert-esque; I wouldn't do that to ya.)

Awesome Sunday so far! The dangerously cool [livejournal.com profile] elizalouwho and I got together for coffee at Willoughby's late this morning and sat outside talking until after 2:00. Much fun was had laughing about urinal-cake hjinks (she has some stories of her own!), annoying housemates, and caked catasshair. (Don't ask.) Plus, I got to meet her awesome dog Mocha, who rocks the most. I wish I had a dog! Or hell, even a fish or a sea monkey. And the best thing is that we were able to avoid being hassled by the authorities. They're after each of us, you know, just on general principles.

I dig Willoughby's iced coffee much more than their regular coffee. Must remember this.

Oh, and while I was waiting for Eliza to show up, I got a monologue from Margaret the Shakespeare Lady. This was the first time I'd ever actually spoken with her. Fascinating. She did Lady Macbeth, Richard Pryor, and the beginning of the General Prologue to the Canterbury Tales. Awesome.

Any of you New Havenites or people in the general area want to get together sometime for a shindig? Eliza and I were saying that it would be fun to get a bunch of us together for a potluck dinner or a night of senseless violence. Whaddya think?
