Ermmmmm--Bono for World Bank chief?

My crew was all about rude nicknames in high school. We knew this one girl whose ear was deformed in some way. So of course, our nickname for her was Van Gogh's Wife. I don't think she knew about it, thank goodness. I swear, I cringe when I think of some of the things we used to do.

And for some reason, this story about Odyssey of the Mind just popped into my head. Why was Anton whipping us? If I ever do that list of ten things none of you have ever done, wearing half a dog costume and being whipped for a school project would have to go right at the top.

I've never thought Doonesbury was very funny. Is that bad?

I was talking with a couple of people in the kitchen a few minutes ago. Then Laura walked in just in time to hear Mary say, "Spam earrings!" Laura wisely grabbed a cookie and left. I say "wisely" because she avoided hearing Peter's tale of once eating 21 pieces of Spam to win a contest. FRONG.

I always wanted to hear Eazy-E's "Nobody Move" done in a deep voice like James Earl Jones's. And now I have. *weeps with joy*

I'm still shocked that Damone was so throughly thrashed in last week's poll. But I am heartened to know that mangy dog garnered such support, even if I personally chose honky lips. The willingness of people to get out and rock the vote for mangy dog truly touched me.

But c'mon, folks. Spicoli is good, but Damone is way better.
