It's 54 degrees outside and about 8 degrees inside. I'm freezing my wangdoodle off.

And weird-- the top story on cnn.com right now is about the Commodore 64's 25th anniversary. I had one of those jokers. Still the baddest-ass computer ever.

What is it about seafood that lends itself to off-color names? (I'd say it's a southern thing, but there was a place in CT near New Haven called Master Bait & Tackle.) Shit, where I grew up, you'd get arrested for grabbin' snappers.



I dunno what this is. It was in the bombed-out parking lot of the bombed-out theater next to the bombed-out Burger King (it's that log cabin in the background) where I used to work in Starkville. That end of Highway 12 is such a showplace.

Grandmother called and said Lonzie Jesus had to go to the vet yesterday cuz he was having trouble breathing, and it turns out he's got an upper respiratory infection. :( I could tell when I was over there at Thanksgiving that something wasn't quite right, because he kept having trouble with his eyes. I wish I'd told my dad to take him to the vet then. :\ But he got a shot and a week's worth of antibiotics, so I hope he's back up to snuff soon. I think we'll both be back in Tuscaloosa full-time in about a month, too. I miss the little bugger!
