mindless drivel
Nov. 2nd, 2002 01:43 pmWhew, my ride's legal again. I was supposed to register it here within 30 days (maybe 90?) of moving into the state, but I had just paid almost $200 for a new tag in MS, so I rode it out. I made it without getting hassled by The Man, which is a miracle considering the MS tag expired at the end of September. That was $120 I didn't want to pay, but it's good for two years, so that's really not so bad. Of course, I'll have to pay property taxes--who knows how much that'll be. Come on, who knows? And I did have to pay $90 for my driver's license last year, so all that does add up. Punk-ass bureaucrats stickin' it to the common man.
Most amazingly, it only took me about an hour at the DMV, which is not so bad. That place is a nuthouse, though. And coincidentally, they actually sell hot roasted nuts at the concession stand there. Seriously.
Je-SUS, I hope you people didn't read that. I feel sorry for ya if you did.
