It's scary how often LiveJournals show up on Google searches. I've found them with "rimbaud impressionism," "Neil Young 4/19/00" (which, among other searches, has turned up my journal), and "attach new hinges to it so you can use it."

I'm off to take a final now. Tonight, I'm going to work on a paper (15 pages, of which I've written exactly one) in the hopes that I can finish it by tomorrow afternoon so I can make it to New Orleans by tomorrow night -- or at least get it to a point so that I can definitely finish it Sunday night/Monday morning.

All I've talked about recently is writing freaking papers. The bastards have taken over my brain. But look out -- I'm snatchin' it back soon.

I know, I am constantly finding LiveJournals in my results too, perhaps because BradFitz gives google so many "props", if you will. saying he models LJ after them and whatnot. you never see any lame-ass diaryland or blogger shit pop up or anything. fuck those people anyway.

I not as concerned about some real life person finding my journal using google as I am having some one rely on me to be an expert on fIREHOSE lyrics.. I'm as likely as not to have pulled those out of my ass... :-)

Oh, but I rely on (and wholeheartedly trust) the Internet for all my information, and you're an integral part of the equation. If I didn't have YOUR ill-remembered version of fIREHOSE lyrics, then I'd have to (perish the thought) rely on MY OWN ill-remembered version, and just where the fuck would I be then? So, yes indeedy, now that I've rethought the whole deal, I've come to the conclusion that having LJ indexed is definitely a Good Thing -- it gives me a whole list of unsuspecting people on whom to call when I'm stumped (which is all too often).
