wickedflea | Hello, Earth, can you read me? This is Starship Captain Warlock, on the planet Freakout.

My brain is completely fried... I've been up since 4:00 p.m. yesterday after a few hours of fitful sleep yesterday. Finished my paper with a half hour to spare. I feel kind of like you feel at the end of an acid trip... vaguely euphoric, ready to go to sleep but too jittery... I can't go to sleep anyway b/c we're having my little going-away shindig at the honors house. Hard to believe I've been working there for two years. I don't know what I'd have done if I'd had to get a teaching assistantship in an actual academic department where I have to actually teach. I see those poor folks in my English classes... taking six hours of real classes plus a three-hour "teaching college writing" course plus teaching two sections of freshman comp or basic English. Not me, man -- I'm stressed out enough as it is. My job is a lot more laid back, it's less demanding, and (I think) looks better on a resume. Not bad for falling ass-backwards into it after waiting too long to apply for an TA position in English. :)

OK, that has to be the most boring thing I've ever written. But I'm done for the semester, nyeuh nyeuh nyeuh.
