Feb. 11th, 2003 07:50 pmAll right, I'm going to be up working for a good while tonight, so you hip chicks and fellers gotta give me something to keep checking in on.
Tell me your top five rock songs of all time. Er, OK--I don't really believe in ranking music like that, so just give me five songs that really kick ass. It can be pretty much anything, but it has to rock. "You Dropped a Bomb on Me"? Fine. That song thumps. "Ripple"? Nuh-uh. Great song (yes, I'm actually admitting to liking a Grateful Dead song), but it just don't rock, dig? And try to think of something that's practically perfect. Like if the bridge sucks, don't list it. If it's got a kung-fu jam section that gets a little too out there, kill it. Oh, and try to limit yourself to one song per band.
Here's five from me. OK, so I can't limit myself to five, so here's a few. Gimme however many you want to.
"Kill Yourself"--Stormtroopers of Death
"Fun House"--The Stooges
"Bonin' in the Boneyard"--Fishbone
"Ace of Spades"--Motorhead
"Into the Void"--Black Sabbath
"In My Time of Dying"--Led Zeppelin
"Ghouls' Night Out"--The Misfits
"Thieves"--Ministry
"Joe McCarthy's Ghost"--The Minutemen
"She Watch Channel Zero?!"--Public Enemy (w/ a killer Slayer sample)
OK, what's that, ten? Wow, and that's leaving all kinds of bands out. I'd better stop and get to work. Discuss amongst yourselves.

Date: 2003-02-11 06:20 pm (UTC)Death Certificate is Ice Cube's finest piece of work....well at least as far as I'm concerned. It's an album you just can't live without.
If you're so sock-ily gifted, do you know the sock rule??
Re: MRS. Brownstone?
Date: 2003-02-11 06:32 pm (UTC)Socks aren't vegetables, man, they should be wiped out?
I before E, except after sock?
Or is it more practical, like don't jack off in your favorite sock?
My secret is out--I should have paid more attention in 11th-grade laundry class . . .

I'm gonna make a post about socks on my journal now because my sock-story is too long to write as a comment.
