wickedfleaThere was a study done in the late '70s and early '80s at Florida State in which sex researchers Russell Clark and Elaine Hatfield got people to walk up to random people of the opposite sex and ask them one of three questions. They would start off, "I have been noticing you around campus. I find you to be very attractive," then ask one of the following:
"Would you go out with me tonight?" (date condition)
"Would you come over to my apartment tonight?" (apartment condition)
"Would you go to bed with me tonight?" (bed condition)
