(no subject)

I'm trying to switch to one space between sentences instead of two. It's driving me nuts. I used one when I worked at the paper, but only for stuff for the paper. Stuff for school I did two. Maybe I should fight the power and stick to my roots. Or maybe I should get over it.

Obviously it's one of those "nothing worthwhile to write" days. Must be Saturday.

Right, that's what I was always used to. (Believe me, I'm used to MLA.) But for publication, one space is usually preferred because typesetting adjusts the spacing of text to make things look right with one space. Chicago calls for one (I think; I know my press uses one), and so does AP. I was actually surprised when I started in book publishing that they use one. I always assumed that was peculiar to AP.
