sinnie's post from earlier today reminded me of a horrible thing that happened to me at Sonic a couple of years ago. It's one of those drive-in places with carhops, y'know, so I was sitting in my car and waiting for my order when a woman and her toddler walked in front of my car. The little girl was happily enjoying a lollipop, and I thought, wow, what a cute kid!

It was about that time that the cute little tyke looked me right in the eye, scowled menacingly, and flung the wet, nasty lollipop stick on the hood of my car. So naturally I put the car in gear and wiped 'em both out.

OK, of course I didn't do that, but mother and child were lucky that I'm not a vengeful person. Instead I just sat there agape as the child kept scowling and the mother tried to disguise a snicker. Yes, that's right, she snickered. Incredible. People amaze me.

I have the coolest friends list in the world, and

zoe is right at the top of the list. Not only did she send me a videotape full of Ren and Stimpy goodness, but she also included a package of Fig Newtons!!! I'm seriously glowing over here. =) I just can't decide whether I should throw any of the Newtons! It almost seems sacrilegious to waste a gift. Maybe if I make sure to yell at my victims, "Hey, that was sent with LOVE, motherfucker!" Ach, I dunno, it probably wouldn't work. People never appreciate what you do for them.
