Aug. 16th, 2003 09:54 pmOK, people, I want to know when you first heard the word "homeslice." I've been saying it for years, but I can't figure out where everyone else picked it up. The first time I heard it must have been . . . lemme think . . . 1985?!? I'm pretty sure it was in the summer between eight and ninth grades. I was in a production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer with Bill Andrews, and he often called me "homeslice." He also called me "buttplug," but he called everyone "buttplug," so I didn't take too much offense. Besides, I called him "Muff," so it was give and take.
Homeslice. I don't really even know what it means, but it's one of my favorite words. HOMESLICE.
What about you? Is it a fairly new word to you, or have you been hearing it for years?
