i looooooove lj drama and consequently ljdrama.org although i dislike the people who run the site and their commentary...

i don't even consider this love a guilty pleasure...:}

I wondered if I was going to step on any toes with this, and I thought, man, I probably shouldn't make that blanket statement--but then I figured, what the hell. :) I won't deny that looking at that sort of thing is fun from time to time, but I dunno--I was reading some misinformation about someone I KNOW over there last week, and the comments incensed me: people calling my friend a "fucking bitch" without knowing the first grain of truth about her or the facts of the matter. People swarm all over any little thing, and often they're creating more drama than they're reporting on. Which makes them the truly ridiculous ones.


Ehhhh. Of course I know that these people's opinions don't matter, especially if they aren't based on the truth, but still--the hurtfulness of the whole thing bugs me.

People swarm all over any little thing, and often they're creating more drama than they're reporting on. Which makes them the truly ridiculous ones.

i agree completely...people not knowing the full story but still jumping on the bandwagon is idiotic...

i didn't even understand the drama that concerned your friend...there's a lot of drama that isn't drama that the ljdrama people hype to make it so...and then the idiots swarm...i swarm to read...but not to comment or to "become one with" the drama...most of it i don't even read...

i guess for me, ljdrama is like cnn.com...i don't like the people in charge of the website...and most of the content doesn't interest me...but every once in a while i'm enticed by a story...:}
