nonamejane and I had a fantastic time yesterday. We started downtown by checking out some of the open-studio stuff going on (though we didn't find a lot), nosing around some of the shops on Chapel St., and walking through campus. Then we drove up the coast through Madison and out to Hammonassett for a bit to check out the fantastic sunset over the Long Island Sound. Ended up at Sam's Dockside for a very nice dinner, then headed to the theater for
School of Rock. We both enjoyed the movie, but agreed that we expected it to be more laugh-out-loud funny. But it was quite fun.
Anyway, that's the short version, leaving out details of many laughs and much good conversation. I regretted that she had to drive back to Newport so late at night, but we had no choice; her gun-toting best friend had given her strict orders to get her ass home. =)
I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here's one scene that we were surprised to find: artwork featuring our dear friend
dangerpest! Small world. Looks like he's having a fun time, huh? ;-)

Be sure to check out
nonamejane's awesome pictures of the day
